People were amazed that Homer could remember names and their favorite song that they would always request. He retired in January of 2019 from Piggly Wiggly in Slinger. Homer loved to vacation wherever there were beaches. He enjoyed watching the Packers and playing sheepshead and cribbage. Homer was actively involved at St. John Lutheran Church in New Fane as an elder, nominating committee, usher, and vocal and hand bell choir.
