Roger Alan Flitter Roger Alan Flitter

Roger Alan “Mouse” Flitter passed on Saturday, June 11, 2022, at the age of 87 at the Lutheran Home in Fond du Lac.

He was born in Campbellsport on October 1, 1934, to Matthew and Irma (Wagner) Flitter. He was baptized and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church and was a life-long member there.

Roger enlisted in the U.S. Army right out of high school. He served in the Army from 1952 to 1954, and was stationed in Alaska.

On June 20, 1960, Roger married Virginia “Ginny” Lee at Immanuel Lutheran Church.

After being discharged from the Army, he had a few different jobs before working for the Clothes Clinic in West Bend for many years. The owner of the Clothes Clinic came to the house to recruit him to work there because of his work record. You could always depend on Roger. After leaving there, he worked at Weasler Engineering until retirement. Roger also had his own rug cleaning business “Flitter’s Rug Cleaning” for many years.

Roger had a good sense of humor and held different offices in various clubs and organizations in his younger years. He loved all sports and watched all of them on television in his later years. He was a big NASCAR fan; Dale Earnhardt was his favorite.

Roger was a hard worker and everyone who knew him liked him. He was honest and had a good personality. He was a doting “Papa” to his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Virginia “Ginny”; two sons, Mark (Jodi) and Tom (Jill); three grandchildren, Hope, Serena and Zachary; his brother, Darwin; and a special niece, Deb Leonard. He is further survived by his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, cousins, nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

Preceding him in death were his parents, many aunts and uncles, cousins and friends.

Per Roger’s request, there will be no visitation. There will be a private family memorial held at the Twohig Funeral Home in Campbellsport. Rev. Paul Cerny will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Twohig Funeral Home is serving the family with online guestbook and condolences at www.twohigfunerals.com.
