Joan Rita Schladweiler

 

Joan Rita Schladweiler (Hoepner), age 76 years, of Kewaskum was called home to be with the Lord on July 5, 2022.

Joan was born on May 24, 1946, in West Bend to Hilary and Marie Hoepner (Engelhardt).

Joan graduated from Kewaskum High School. She went on to work at Serigraph for 30+ years. After retirement, she couldn’t sit still and continued to work her cleaning jobs. Joan loved her summers swimming in her pool, having campfires, and working outside. Most of all, she cherished time with family, especially her grandsons and their significant others. Joan was selfless and always willing to help her family at the drop of a hat.

Those Joan leaves behind to cherish her memory include her children, Cheryl (Scott) Steffes, and their son, Alex (Alle); Timothy (Tammy) Schladweiler, and their sons, Matthew (Nina) and Daniel (Ashley); and Rita Butke and her children, Tyler (Ashley) and Megan; siblings, Dianne (Bill) Horn, Larry Hoepner, and Sandra Amerling; and special sister-in-law, Jackie Hoepner. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, Joan was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Richard Amerling; and family friend, Marion Roggenbauer.

A private graveside service will be held at a later date. Memorials in Joan’s name can be directed to St. Matthew’s Catholic Church in Campbellsport.

The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff at Froedtert West Bend Hospital for their care and compassion.
