Diana ‘Susie’ Mae Wildt
Diana ‘Susie’ Mae Wildt (nee Planinshek), 82, of Kewaskum, passed away at her Kettle Moraine Gardens home on Saturday, Nov. 18, 2023. She was surrounded by her loving family in the days and hours leading up to her time of passing.
Diana was given the nickname ‘Susie’ by her father at a very young age and it was what everyone called her and knew her by. Susie was born on September 25, 1941, in Milwaukee, to Anthony and Dorothy (nee Scheuing) Planinshek.
Susie had the biggest heart, and giving was a part of who she was. She dedicated her selfless life to nursing and was an emergency room LPN at Hartford Memorial Hospital for 40 years, working mostly on the overnight hours. Susie loved her family. Her contagious laugh and kind nature will be remembered fondly by all who knew her. She loved puzzles of all kinds, board and card games, and any events she could partake in over the years involving her children and grandchildren. Susie loved animals, especially her grand kitties, Zeus, Bently, and The Schmütz; grand doggies, Suki, Thor, and Bruno. And, we cannot forget, she loved her Green Bay Packers!
Susie is survived by her beloved husband of 48 years, Matthew; sons, Brian (Jackie) Wildt, Brett (Tracy) Wildt, Tim Wildt; daughter, Kari Wildt; grandchildren, Brooke, Bryce, and Brady Wildt; special niece, who was like a daughter, Toni Kubasiak; brother, Jack (Gail) Planinshek; two brothers-in-law, Ken (Nancy) Wildt and Jim (Pat) Wildt; family friend, Darlene Boho; and many other beloved family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Anthony Planinshek; mother, Dorothy Planinshek; father-in-law, Mathias Wildt; mother-in-law, Elizabeth Wildt; sister, Rose Wendt; a brother-in-law, Roy (Sharon) Wildt; and many other loved ones.
