Carol Marie Baudry, 90, of Eden peacefully left this earth and joined her heavenly home May 24, 2024, at Woodlands Senior Park, Fond du Lac.
She was born in Oshkosh on December 23, 1933, daughter of Carl and Margaret (Dehorn) Fenrich. After graduating from Oshkosh High School, Carol went on to become a radiology technician, working several years at Mercy Hospital, Oshkosh.
It was at an Oshkosh Eagles dance that Carol met the love of her life, LeRoy, and they later married on June 14, 1958. Carol moved to LeRoy’s family farm near Eden and adapted from life of the city to the country over the next 35 years. Carol worked by LeRoy’s side, pitching in with day-to-day chores and challenges of their dairy farm, while being a steadfast mother to five children.
Carol was a member of Shepherd of the Hills Parish, Eden, and volunteered regularly for parish dinners and cleaning church for many years. Carol and LeRoy believed in Catholic Education and were devoted to assuring their children attained this. She also managed to maintain jobs outside of the home, driving school bus, cleaning houses, and bookkeeper.
Carol was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and adored spending time with family never forgetting birthdays. She was an exceptional cook and liked cardinals, planting flowers, doing various crafts, quilting, ceramics, collecting bells and snowmen.
In 1993, it was time for Carol and LeRoy to step away from the farm and they moved to the Village of Eden, where they settled for 31 years. Carol continued volunteering as well as helping LeRoy with a huge garden, while performing many projects around their house.
Carol will be dearly missed by her beloved husband of 66 years, LeRoy; five children, Cindy (Gary) Krug of Oshkosh, Mary (Bob) Lyon of Oshkosh, JoAnn (Jim) Tart of Neenah, Tony Baudry of Fond du Lac, Renee (Mark) Wollersheim of Brownsville; eight grandchildren Jon (Bekka) Krug, Justin Krug, Nicole Roccas, Matt (Christina) Lyon, Sean Lyon, Jeff Baudry, Collin Wollersheim, Elle Wollersheim; and five great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Patricia Fenrich, Rosemary (Jerry) Dettlaff; nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Sue (Patrick) Cudahy; brother, David Fenrich; sisters-in-law, Georgene (Gerard) Clair, Sr. Ruth Ann Baudry; brother-in-law, Alden (Arlene) Baudry; niece, Sharon Baudry.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to SSM St Agnes Hospital, Edenbrook Rehab, SSM Hospice, and Woodlands Senior Park.
Visitation: Friday, June 7, 2024, 10-11:45 a.m. at Shepherd of the Hills, W1562 Co. Rd. B, Eden.
Funeral Mass: Mass of Christian Burial for Carol is Friday, June 7, 2024, 12 p.m. at Shepherd of the Hills, W1562 Co. Rd. B, Eden, with Father Mark Jones officiating.
Burial will take place St. Mary’s Cemetery, Eden.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Carol’s loving memory.
