Gwendolyn M. “Gwen” Wilson (nee Schellinger) passed peacefully on Monday, May 27, 2024, at the age of 78, at the Kathy Hospice. She was born in Hartford, the daughter of the late Jerome and Caroline (nee Bremser) Schellinger- Mueller. Gwen graduated from Hartford High School in 1964. She married David T. Wilson on August 14, 1965. Gwen worked for B.C. Ziegler for over 40 years as she rose to Vice President in sales. She and David were members of the Snow Chiefs Snowmobile Club in Kewaskum, and an ATV Club in Maiden Lake. Loved going to classic car shows around Wisconsin, and she was a member of the Lioness Club of Oconto Co. and a volunteer at the Christian Thrift Store in Wabeno.
Gwen is survived by her children, Wendi Haubrich, Debbie (Doug) Karlin, and Joy Wilson; grandchildren, Troy (Fiancé, Amber), Asher, Timothy, Bri, Prairie, and Caroline (Fiancé, Tyler); great-grandson, Sawyer David Wilson; siblings, Jerome (Kathy), Charles (the late Marjorie) Schellinger, Judy (Joseph) Pieper, and James (Janet) Schellinger. She is further survived by sister-in-law, Cherie Schellinger; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, David; brother, Mark Schellinger; and stepfather, Leo Mueller.
A visitation will be held on Monday, June 10, 2024, from 10 a.m. until 11:45 a.m., with the Mass of Christian Burial at 12 p.m., at St. Mary’s Immaculate Conception Parish, 406 Jefferson St., West Bend, WI 53090. Fr. Kevin Harmon will officiate. The burial will follow at Washington County Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials to The Kathy Hospice or the Alzheimer’s Association of Wisconsin would be appreciated.
The family would like to thank the staff at Cedar Community Cottages, and Kathy Hospice, for the care they gave to Gwen.
