Shirley Oestreich
Shirley Mae Oestreich left this world to join her Heavenly Father and other dearly departed family members on Thursday, Sept. 19, 2024, at SSM (St Agnes) Hospital in Fond du Lac with family members at her side.
Shirley was born on January 26, 1935, to Marie Wille and Harvey Davis in Edgerton.
On September 27, 1951, Shirley married Earl Tischer until his death in 1953. On August 14, 1954, Shirley married Milford (Mick) Oestreich. During the next 68 years until Mick’s death in 2023, they raised eight children and have 17 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
Shirley was a true believer in Christ and the salvation of the Lord. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in New Fane.
Prior to the family moving to Campbellsport in 1970, Shirley’s working career involved positions at Weyenberg Shoe Company, The West Bend Company, and Amity Leather, all while raising a growing family.
Once she retired from The West Bend Company, she finally found time to enjoy family events, dancing, and bingo-casino junkets with her dear group of friends.
Shirley is survived by three sons and five daughters, Bruce Tischer, Steve Tischer (Lucy), Brian Oestreich (Carol), Valerie Oestreich (Pat), Cheryl Storm, Sue Ellen Bornick (Bill), Lynn Condreay (Joe), and Debbie Hurst. She is further survived by 13 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren; sister, Sally Hollnagel; sister-in-law, Virginia Juoni; son-in-law, Kim Condreay; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, “Mick”; parents, Harvey and Marie Davis; first husband, Earl Tischer; brothers, Ted and Stanley Davis; sisters, Maryanne Williams, Jean Disrude, Maxine Bilke and Nancy Werner. Also preceding her in death are daughter-in-law, Carol Oestreich; grandchildren, Meghan Whipple, Shannon Tischer, and two infant grandchildren, Hamann Oestreich and Tylor James Storm.
The Oestreich family wishes to thank Doctor Daniel Johnson, the doctors and staff at SSM (St Agnes) Hospital, and SSM Hospice for the professional and dedicated service they provided to Shirley and her family during this difficult time.
Per Shirley’s wishes no funeral is planned. However, the family will hold a graveside memorial service for family and friends at a future date.
