   Evelyn Pauline Chapman, 86, of Ripon, formerly of Oakfield, went to her heavenly home on Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2024, at Maple Crest in Ripon with family at her side.
Evelyn was born on June 13, 1938, in LeRoy, daughter of Edwin and Leona (Schultz) Loest. For many years, she accomplished elaborate and detailed cross-stitch, embroidery and crocheted works of art, now treasured family heirlooms. Evelyn enjoyed long walks, fishing and taking pictures along the way. She had a love for music and polka dancing; you would find her on the dance floor kicking up her heels. Evelyn enjoyed shopping and attending summertime parades. She was a member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Oakfield.
Evelyn is survived by her husband, Donald Chapman; daughter, Donna (David) Smith; three grandchildren, Andrea (Lucas) Spangenberg, Melissa Smith and Samuel Smith; four great-grandchildren, Julius Spangenberg, Johnathan Spangenberg, Sophia Spangenberg and Isabella Spangenberg. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her two sisters, Lucille (Harold) Wiese and Delores (Bill) Griepentrog.
Visitation for Evelyn will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 27, at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 245 South 2nd Street, Oakfield, WI.
A funeral service will follow at 12 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 27, at church with Pastor Matthew Schwartz officiating.
