The Mayville fire companies held the traditional “spritzenprobe” on Pentecost Monday. It was a general holiday for the community, and many people watched the fire fighters practice with their equipment. The Union Band furnished music for the gathering.
There has been no rain in the area for the past month. Crops and pastures show the effect of the drought.
