Joseph A. Herrick, 78, of Beaver Dam, died peacefully at home on Tuesday, April 12, 2022, after a courageous battle with esophageal cancer.
Joseph Albert was born on November 25, 1943, in Stevens Point to Herman and Alice (Finnessy) Herrick.
He was united in marriage with Marleen Wollenberg in Portage, on March 30, 1968.
Joe worked for over 20 years as a machinist at Mayville Metal / Danly and retired in 2005.
Joe enjoyed hunting and fishing in his spare time. He loved his family and his grandchildren were important to him. He enjoyed watching the Packer, Badgers, Bucks, and Brewers.
Joseph is survived by his loving wife, Marleen of Beaver Dam; children, Lori Herrick of Brownsville and Stephen (Terri) Herrick of Mayville; grandchildren, Brenna Bruckner (special friend, Tyler Westover) and Brandon Bruckner, Hallie Buchholz, Brodie and Jered Herrick; great-grandchildren, Rilley and Bayley Westover; brothers and sisters, Shirley Plasky, Jim (Elaine), his twin brother, John (Corrine), Jerome, Linda Hungerford, David (Sharon), Jeff, Keith (Doreen); so many nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Janice Tollefson.
In keeping with Joe’s wishes, there will be no formal services and cremation has taken place.
