Bruce M. “Duhamel” Immel, died unexpectedly in Missoula, Montana on Sunday, August 7, 2022. He was born October 25, 1955, in Fond du Lac to Myron “Sam” and Susan (Schuhart) Immel. He was baptized at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Mount Calvary on November 11, 1955. He was later confirmed on March 30, 1969. Bruce was a long-time member of Luther Memorial Church in Fond du Lac.

Bruce graduated from Campbellsport High School in May of 1973. He then earned a degree from Moraine Park Technical College in Machine Tool Operation on May 17, 1974. He worked for Michels Corporation for 33 years and finished out his career at Gabe’s Construction with retirement in 2021.

Bruce was a member of the Empire Thresheree As sociation, HOG member, lifetime NRA member, life – time member of the Dotyville Hunting and Fishing Club, and the Dotyville Drifters Snowmobile Club. He enjoyed shooting and collecting guns along with collecting toy tractors (and the real ones). Bruce could often be found riding his motorcycle with good friends or tinkering in his garage. He liked going up north deer hunting with Larry and Georgene. Bruce also enjoyed going to flea markets, gun shows, and toy shows.

Bruce is survived by his siblings, Bonnie Rieder, Brian Immel, Larry Immel, and Jason Immel; nieces, Samantha (Ryan) Schatze and Autumn Immel; special friends, Larry and Georgene Stubbs; aunts, uncles, other relatives, and many many friends.

Bruce was preceded in death by his parents, and brother-in-law, Larry Rieder.

Bruce’s family invited friends and relatives to a time of visitation on Monday, August 15, 2022, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Zacherl Funeral Home. Visitation continued at 11 a.m. until 12 p.m. on Tuesday, August 16, 2022, at Luther Memorial Church, 134 21st Street, Fond du Lac, WI 54935.

A funeral service took place following visitation at 12 p.m. with Pastor Rob Sauers officiating.

Interment followed the funeral service at Ledgeview Memorial Park.
